About this Nominee
Hives for Heroes is proud to call the Katy-area community part of its story. As a Texas-born nonprofit serving Veterans, Service Members, and First Responders through beekeeping, mentorship, and community, Hives for Heroes creates connection, purpose, and healing while supporting pollinators and local ecosystems. What started in the Houston area has grown into a nationwide network of more than 10,000 Heroes across all 50 states, but the mission remains deeply personal and community-driven. Through hands-on hive experiences, education, scholarships, corporate partnerships, and Heroes Honey, Hives for Heroes is helping Katy-area residents and partners be part of a mission that Saves Bees and Saves Lives
